Its only a few days until Christmas so to help you get into the mood, here is a festive themed jigsaw puzzle for you to enjoy. The image was taken at BuenaVista which is presently festooned with a wintery festive look and offers a number of photo opportunities for the keen eyed Second Life photographer.

The jigsaw puzzle can either be played on this page, or it can be downloaded to keep and solve offline. If you would like your own copy, you can download the puzzle here. The downloadable version is stored on Google Drive, which checks for nasty content so you can be sure its safe.

 If you prefer to solve the jigsaw puzzle here, just drag each piece in place and connecting pieces will snap together. To the bottom left of the puzzle there's an opton for a background ghost image, and another to view the image in a small window. Towards the bottom right there is an option to play full screen.

Creation Park

Creation Park is the brainchild of Barbie Alchemi set up to to raise donations for the  Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, with the added aim of offering support groups and research into the positive effects of Second Life for people with Parkinson’s Disease.

If you think this all sounds very serious, well it is, but at the same time Creations Park has so much to offer visitors, including a dance club, a tropical beach, boutiques, horse riding and much much more. As well as all of the above, Creations Park is a beautifully crafted place to visit with lots of opportunities for Second Life photographers to take great shots.

The best way to discover more about Creation Park is to visit the location in Second Life by clicking on the link above, and exploring it for yourself. Also, watch the Drax Files video below (or watch it on YouTube) which explains so well what the Park is all about.

Once its downloaded just unzip the file, double click on the jigsaw icon and you're ready to solve the puzzle. Neufreistadt

Neufreistadt

Neufreistadt is a very well constructed location in Second Life that is a pleasure to visit, offering many opportunities for photographers. For the casual traveler there is everything here, from residences, shops, an art gallery, a monastery and more.

Another feature that makes this location distinctive is it's role in the Confederation of Democratic Simulators. As its website explains;

The Confederation of Democratic Simulators is the oldest democracy in Second Life. Originally founded in 2004 as the City of Neualtenburg in the Anzere region, the Confederation of Democratic Simulators (C.D.S.) is now a five-region community operated by the citizens.

The CDS also has a Facebook page which along with it's website gives a good overview of all the activities on the sim.

Babbage Palisade

Babbage Palisade

Babbage Palisade is an industrial themed sim with a strong slant towards steampunk, complete with trams and smoke billowing from factory chimneys; an ideal subject for this downloadable jigsaw puzzle. The sim owner, Mosseveno Tenk describes it as,

a sooty northern industrial City-Nation of the steampunk imagination, loosely based on the era of 1830 to 1890. Tourists are a common sight and are welcomed. The City has a rich history dating back to an earlier clockwork technological period, hinted at but largely unexplored.

I took the image of the clock tower at Babbage Palisade some time ago, working it quite heavily in Gimp by creating a subdued palette then merging it with a grunge texture to add a worn appearance.

This jigsaw  can be downloaded from My4shared for you to keep and share with friends. There are over 100 pieces so some may find it a little challenging, but hopefully worth the effort.
